We are proud to announce the establishment of Connecticut's first emergency safe home (Tier1- Tier 2) for trafficked victims in the Greater Hartford Area with an initial 7-30 day period of stabilization and assessment. Women will have access to a room, food, and clothing at no charge for a short term duration. Supportive and compassionate volunteers and coaches will assist in linking to community resources, substance abuse monitoring, therapeutic services, and connect to housing options.
Provide the first steps to freedom - Combatting modern-day slavery!
Offer the state of Connecticut the first residential intake center for sexually exploited/victims of sex trafficking. Because of this facility, women will immediately enter into a safe environment and have all their needs met and assessments completed at one location. While at this facility, women will receive access to immediate medical care, therapeutic and stabilization services through our network of specialized trauma informed counselors and providing substance abuse recovery options. Women are given a pathway from our emergency bedding to the transitional facility working towards independence through the partnership and generosity of Cornestone Foundation.
